Binding: Copies 1-30 are quarter-bound in brown calfskin and handspun wool cloth that was dyed and woven by Donna Millar (Thomas). Title in gold on spine. Some copies are bound in wool cloth over boards. Copies 31-150 are quarter-bound in black leather and green commercial paper. Title and ornaments printed on cover. Some copies are quarter-bound in teal green or grey book cloth. Paper: Copies 1-30 are printed on white paper handmade by Peter Thomas. Copies 31-150 are printed on ivory Wausau Exact Vellum paper. “The text is a fairy tale I wrote. This was our first book. The handmade paper was all made at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire. I had planned to print it in brown ink and I can still hear Sherwood Grover, the Grabhorn pressman who was teaching at the Cowell Press, saying, ‘Don’t do that. The type is bad enough as it is.’”
