“This was a reprint of my first printing project [A1] reduced and printed offset in 1978 while Donna and I were learning to run the University of California Santa Cruz College Five press (at about three in the morning and we still remember eating donuts afterwards). The printed pages sat around until 1979, when Donna cut the illustration and we bound them together as a book to sell at the Dickens Christmas Fair. Although the edition is stated at 50 it is very likely that way fewer were actually produced.”
