One Human Many Dimensions

Description

When we first received the news about Covid-19 it was about the cases overseas that were slowing shutting down factories, commerce and transportation in other countries. We were not immediately concerned because, it was across an ocean after all. As the world becomes a smaller place due to the ever-expanding connectivity virtually and physically it was only a matter of time until Covid-19 reached the United States. There are few people if any who have lived through or have first-hand knowledge of such a globally reaching event.

The Covid-19 Pandemic has affected each and every human on this planet in one way or another, many dimensions of people's lives have become something different entirely. For some it was the loss of employment, a shift to virtual work while other fields had an increase in the workload with new protocol to learn and become accustomed to. Schools were, closed, graduations postponed, and virtual learning was no longer a thing of the future, but a thing of the moment. Most people can fit into a few categories of change and this collection looks at one of those particular confluence of society.

This collection will be delving into the multiple dimensions of a particular individual and how the pandemic has affected her and her family's existence. Some changes have been a struggle, and some have created opportunities for adventure. We all have those people in our lives that you look at and go how do they manage it all? Jess the subject of the collection is one of those talented multi-dimensional individuals. She is a single parent, non-traditional student, and healthcare worker. She was able to provide intricate insight into these areas.

As you investigate this collection of photos and oral history maybe an individual of your acquaintance will come to mind. While this is a global pandemic and impacts all take some time to appreciate the uniqueness of one human with many dimensions.
