This pandemic has been a struggle for many people. Along the way there have been moments of joy and reward. A non-traditional student is just one of the many different dimensions to Jess. She wears many different hats and like most mothers are not always recognized for all the different things they do for all the people around them. Here she is holding a scholarship that she was awarded for her determination and commitment to her education even in the middle of a pandemic, working full-time and solo mom things. In a time of uncertainty there is comfort in knowing that students, non-traditional students in particular are being recognized for their hard work, sometimes making ends meet can be a challenge even in the best of times especially know every bit helps. From the smiles on all the faces you can feel that pride and excitement of her family as they share in this sweet moment of recognition that even includes Gus the adorable, squished Corgi.
