The Incredibly Socially Distant MidSouth

Description

In this post the host of the Midsouth gravel race published the full description of their official routes. Traditionally this race would take place in the red clay hills of Stillwater Oklahoma but due to a rise in covid cases the host Bobby Wintle didn’t feel comfortable welcoming the around 1000 people from across the country. They partnered with many other bike shops across the country to create official routes so those involved in the race could still participate in the event. So many people had signed up for the race that they employed the help of their mascot “Randy the Randomizer Robot” to help pick out who is officially able to participate. Each course was around 100 miles with at least around 5000 feet of elevation gain. Bobby didn't like the idea of a virtual ride so that is where he came up with the naming style of the ride being “Incredibly Socially DIstant.”
