Unitarian Church North, then known as, the North Shore Unitarian Fellowship, was organized on November 26, 1962. This item is an early invitation to worship dating from January 1963. At this time in UCN’s history, the 9 original members met in each other’s homes. Dr. and Mrs. Owen Miller hosted many of these gatherings. At the time there were two other Unitarian Universalist congregations in the greater Milwaukee area. Reverend Christopher Raible, visiting from the Unitarian Universalist West Church in Brookfield, WI led this particular worship service. Congregants met in homes until August of 1963 when they began to rent a space at the Milwaukee Day School.
