Apple watch handwashing feature that allows users to ensure handwashing lasts for at least 20 seconds.

During the pandemic, Apple, manufacturers of iOS and macOS devices, introduced a feature to help us track how long we should wash our hands. The World Health Organization (WHO) rolled out some guidelines to help us stay safe during the pandemic. Keeping a 6-feet distance from others, using nose masks and hand sanitizers are some of the guidelines specified by WHO to prevent the spread of COVID. Another guideline is washing our hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Apple was ingenious enough to incorporate a feature on their smartwatch that helps you know when you have washed your hands for at least 20 seconds. The smartwatches detect when you start washing, and it automatically starts a 20 seconds countdown on the smartwatch screen. This feature helped me track the time I spent while washing my hands.
