An email from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee stating that students are now eligible to take the vaccine

I was super excited when the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee sent an email that all students can now receive the COVID-19 vaccine. When I shared this news with my family back in Africa, I was surprised by the shocking reaction I got. They had these unfounded beliefs that the vaccines had in them ‘evil chips,’ which can control those who were vaccinated. The false beliefs dampened the enthusiasm that I grew from the rollout of the vaccines. The email from UWM stated that all students were eligible to be vaccinated; I became hesitant to sign-up for vaccinations because of my folks’ beliefs. However, after some consultations with some friends, I summoned the courage to sign up to get vaccinated.
