Gravel Racing

Description

When it comes to bike racing images of the Tour de France are the massive mountains and the massive Peleton zooming around the countryside. Gravel roads in the middle of Minnesota farm country are far from this image. These farm roads serve as the backdrop for gravel races, a way that people can stay distant while still getting out and enjoying the weather and being competitive. 2020/2021 Gravel races are largely grass roots and lack the overall mass start aspects of other bike rides and races but still provide the same competitive nature with all the riders in the race checking out other times to fuel their competitive instincts. This picture features a bike after 105 miles of mainly gravel and dirt fully packed to be completely self supported in order to follow both the rules of traditional gravel races and social distancing protocols.
