This item is a social media post that the Miramar Theatre had shared to promote the #SaveOurStages which supported local music venues during the pandemic. The Miramar is one out of many local music venues that had to shut it's doors to the public in 2020 which sent many into incredible financial hardship. In response to these hardships, The National Independent Venue Association decided to create this hashtag encouraging people to contact their local legislators about supporting local venues. The Miramar expressed that they would unfortunately have to permanently close their doors if financial aid did not arrive soon. Luckily, NIVA was successful in their endeavor and brought much needed aid to struggling venues.
