I took this selfie while hauling ~140 pounds of luggage through the airport in Dakar Senegal, West Africa where I was being evacuated back to America on a chartered flight while serving in the Peace Corps. Over 7,300 Peace Corps members worldwide lost their positions and were forced to exit their countries of service due to the COVID-19 pandemic - a first in the history of Peace Corps.
