UWM University Housing Email Notifying the Closing of University Housing
Description
An email from UWM Housing regarding the closing of university housing sent one week after the email stating that housing would not be closing.
“I understand that it's a pandemic and things change, but a lot happened in a short period of time. When I received this email saying I had to move out, I was back home in northern Minnesota on spring break. It's about an 8 1/2-hour drive for me to get to Milwaukee. The Kenilworth apartments that I was staying at aren't dorms, they are apartments, so I assumed we would be able to continue living there. In a panic, because there was talk of putting the whole entire Milwaukee city on lockdown, my mother and I drove 8 1/2 hours to Milwaukee and moved my whole entire life out of my apartment in 4 hours that evening. We didn't get to our hotel room until 1:00 a.m. We then woke up early the next morning and drove 8 ½ hours back home with it all of my stuff. To top it off, the university had the audacity to tell us we had to move out within 2 hours. The whole entire experience was a mess."
