Bedrooms are very intimate and personal, they almost act as a peek inside a person's psyche. The bedroom is a place of comfort, a place to unwind, and a place to express your individuality and interests. This is a photo essay on truth—the truth about what is important to the subjects. I have found the personalities and own personal experiences of each subject to manifest in the decor and the ambiance of their room. They often match the ambience of the person themselves—their personalities shining through, showing on the walls and through the colors of their sheets. I was very inspired by Adrienne Salinger's work In My Room (1995), and especially now because of COVID-19, we are spending more time with ourselves, restricted, having time off in our rooms.
