"The eleventh, in this Twenty-sixth Series of the fine books made for the members of this Club ... fifteen etchings to serve as half-titles to the fifteen books ... The type for the text is the twelve-point of Centaur, and the marginalia are set in ten-point Arrighi italic. Text and illustrations have been printed on a hand-made Italian paper under the supervision of Dr. Mardersteig ... the etchings have been pulled by hand. The binding is of decorated hand-made paper over boards with a tan buckram backstrip and dark green linen label, gold stamped"--Publisher's announcement.
"Made ... by Giovanni Mardersteig at the Officina Bodoni ... The text is the 'Garth Translation': a collection of translations by Dryden, Pope, Congreve, Addison, Garth, and others, collated and edited by Sir Samuel Garth in 1717. The etchings were made for this edition by Hans Erni"--Colophon.
