Description

"The second in the Seventh Series of books issued to the members of the Club... The type used is the 12-point size of monotype Bell, decorated with hand-set Baskerville in large sizes and printed on a thin, tough, white Worthy rag paper; the text is printed in black, and the and the Books are begun with drawn initials printed in a variety of colors. The binding is of blue Bancroft linen, the edges of the books stained in dark blue, and the covers stamped with a lavish all-over decoration in gold. The printing was done at the Printing-Office of the Limited Editions Club"--Publisher's announcement to Vols. 1-3.

The type used is the 12-point size of monotype Bell, decorated with hand-set Baskerville in large sizes and utilizing the Bell italics for the poetic passages; it is printed on a thin white Worthy paper, especially watermarked. The text is printed in black, and the Books are begun with drawn initials printed in a variety of colors. The binding is of blue Bancroft linen, the edges of the volumes stained in dark blue, and the covers stamped with an allover decoration in gold. The printing was done at the Printing-Office of the Yale University Press"--Publishers announcement to Vols. 4-5.
