“We developed the dowel spine portfolio as the binding for this series of miniature broadsides made while we were teaching a workshop at the Naropa Institute's Kavyayantra Press. The press did not have a bindery, so we did not have the usual tools or materials available. That lack was our gain, as it led to the creation of this structure.”
