This photo popped up in my Facebook memories this morning. I've been finding a variety of COVID related posts in my memories since January, but this is the first photographic evidence of the onset of the pandemic that I've found.
Usually someone in the congregation provides snacks after the service. But a year ago we had little understanding of how COVID was transmitted. The sign on the sheep reads "Sorry. Due to coronavirus precautions, no edibles today. Maybe next Sunday." By the next week, everything had started shutting down. A year ago today must have been the last time I went to church in person.
