Description
Wisconsin Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes's tweet as the polls opened in Wisconsin on April 7. Both Barnes and Governor Tony Evers had tried to postpone the election out of fear of the pandemic. But the Republican controlled state legislature sued to have the election go forward. Because of the pandemic, many communities had a reduced number of polling places, leading to long lines. Barnes is here channeling a lot of the frustration of folks who did not want to vote in person.
