Oral History with Mack Bates

Description

The experience of COVID-19 has varied for individuals. Some have questioned the severity of the virus and if preventative methods are appropriate or necessary. Governor Tony Evers “Safer at Home” order, while designed to prevent the spread of the virus, has led to contrasting views of the directive. In the mist of the outbreak, those who have experienced the virus directly may offer a valuable observation of our response to the outbreak. Mack Bates, a noted member of the film and media community in Milwaukee, is a survivor of the coronavirus. His unique story details his road to recovery, the adjustments his family made to deal with the conditions of the virus, and his view on the community’s protective measurements.
