Oral History with Nicole Muccio, BSN, RN

Description

I met virtually with Nicole Muccio, Rn to talk about her experiences as a healthcare professional during the COVID-19 pandemic. This interview is uncut and raw footage of Nicole and I in our homes in Downtown Milwaukee and Oshkosh, WI. Nicole is 22 years old, and she is a first year Registered Nurse at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. Nicole shares her experiences in the hospital and her personal experiences at home. We discuss the spread of the Coronavirus, the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety standards in the hospital, Milwaukee's response to the pandemic, and the protests against the "Stay at Home" order. Nicole's cat, Finn, makes a special appearance. I want to give a special thanks to Historians Dr. Chris Cantwell and Erin Dorbin for their lessons and techniques for conducting oral history interviews. And finally, I want to thank Nicole for her time during this interview. I would also like to thank Nicole and all healthcare professionals who are risking their lives everyday to keep the public safe.
