Title

Oral History Interview Joe, a Manager at a Retailer

Description

This is an interview conducted with Joe, who is a manager at a retailer, on what the pandemic has been like for him personally and working in a retail environment. Joe talks about what it was like for him to be considered an essential worker and how it helped him to not worry about some of the issues that some people had to worry about, such as financial issues and whether or not they could pay their bills. He touches on what his retail has done to help deal with COVID in a retail environment, how they introduced plexiglass shields and increased sanitation efforts. There is also a reflection on how COVID ended up helping his retailer, by increasing their sales, but has also reduced the number of doorbuster sales and how they dealt with their Black Friday. As well as the introduction of new policies and curbside pick for retailers.
