Captain Segura (Ernie Kovacs, left), dressed in his uniform, is passed out drunk in his wicker chair. Jim Wormold (Alec Guinness, right), disheveled in a white button-up and clearly also inebriated, sits on the other side of the table in another wicker chair. Wormold moves a shooter of whisky, one of many acting as pieces on a checkerboard, to make his final (winning? losing?) move now that Segura is unconscious. At the bottom, a typewritten caption:
