Billy Wilder’s film “The Front Page”, starring Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, and Carol Burnett, was produced by Paul Monash and directed by Billy Wilder, with Jennings Lang as executive producer. The screenplay by Billy Wilder and I.A.L. Diamond is based on the play by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur, and was filmed in Technicolor and Pa[na]vision. The Universal Picture about newspapermen in Chicago in 1929 co-stars Vincent Gardenia, Susan Sarandon, Allen Garfield, David Wayne, Charles Durning, and Austin Pendleton.
