Jocelyn Szczepaniak-Gillece:

Jocelyn Szczepaniak-Gillece is Director of the Film Studies Program and an Associate Professor of English and Film Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is the author of Movies Under the Influence (University of Minnesota Press, 2024) and The Optical Vacuum: Spectatorship and Modernized American Theater Architecture (Oxford University Press, 2018), as well as many articles in journals and anthologies, and the co-editor of Ends of Cinema (University of Minnesota Press, 2020).

 

 


Julio Garcia

Julio Garcia is a dual MA/MLIS student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is also the head archivist for the Universities Film Studies Program Collection. Some of his research interests include understanding the relationship between archive and film studies, Cuban cinema, professional wrestling, and universal design in pedagogy.

 

 

Ashley Hale 

Ashley Hale is an undergraduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in English and film studies with a certificate in the business of media and film studies. She is an undergraduate research fellow and the media collective archival intern. In her free time, she likes writing, swimming, dancing, and hanging out with her sister.
