Printing: Letterpress. Typography: Handset Centaur; title and ornaments in red and blue. Illustration: Eight ornaments and two illustrations; all are linocuts by Donna Thomas.
“Some time after we printed A Tale of Life in miniature, Donna made the large linocut used in this book. Inspired by that cut and The Golden Cockerell’s Four Gospels, we began to experiment with a large-format book. We must have made fifty different title and text pages before we settled on the ones used in this book.”
