Some copies quarter-bound in blue cloth and blue marbled paper, handmade by Peter and Donna Thomas, over boards. End sheets light blue. Paper: Cream, handmade by Peter and Donna Thomas, or cream commercial paper. Printing: Letterpress. Typography: Handset “Dutchess,” a recasting of Bernhard Modern Roman by LA Type Foundry.
“This was a commissioned book. Brother Thomas actually came down to our home in Santa Cruz to help make the paper. This was before I bought a good mould from Tim Moore, and the paper shows the watermarking of the plastic grating used to support the screen of my handmade mould.”
