Waiting Outside Sam's Club

Title

Waiting Outside Sam's Club

Description

Our family chose to not get caught up in the buying frenzy that came as people were ordered to stay "Safer at Home" in Wisconsin. However, it was time to do some regular shopping, so we headed to Sam's Club on 124th Street in Milwaukee. We had to wait in a line outside, as the store was limiting the number of shoppers inside at one time. As one shopper left, another was allowed in. While it reminded me of scenes from WWII rationing, bread lines in the Soviet Union, and gas lines from the 70s, everyone in line was taking it in stride. We waited outside for about 15-20 minutes. Once inside, the staff had sanitized carts for shoppers to use, and the mood inside was similar to any other shopping trip in the past. There were some items that were not available, but we were able to get most of the things on our shopping list.
