"Calypsoul 70" is an archival compilation of Caribbean Soul and Calypsoul-related tracks which were recorded between 1969 and 1979. Most of these recordings seem to originate from the English-speaking Caribbean, and offer a fascinating glimpse into the types of social issues that were pertinent during this period of Caribbean history. The CD comes with an extensive set of liner notes which nicely inform the"listener's" interpretations of all 78 minutes of music.
