Courtney interweaves video letters carried across the U.S.-Mexico border with the personal stories of wome left behind in post-NAFTA Mexico,& provides an intimate look at the lives of the people most affected by today's failed immigration & trade policies. The video letters provide a way for these women to communicate with both loved ones & strangers on the other side of the border, focusing on a side of immigration rarely told by the media or touched upon in the political debate.
