When Mrs. Dolores del Paso discovers her maid Pacita with her boyfriend, Cantinflas has a great idea, to pretend to be Leonardo del Paso, her lost brother. He takes advantage of the opportunity to live at the cost of the family, since the husband of Dolores believes that is the brother his wife has been seeking in order to receive a juicy inheritance. He eventually arrives at the house of Clotilde Given, the woman abandoned by Leonardo and is put in the middle of a number of tangles.
